Having long life and being healthy
 


1.    Having long life
       a.    He/She did not kill any animals in the previous lifetimes.
       b.    He/She supported his/her relatives in the previous lifetimes.
       c.    He/She was a doctor in the previous lifetimes and is a doctor in this life.
       d.    He/She always gave food to the poor in the previous lifetimes.
       e.    He/She offered meals to the monks in the previous lifetimes and does it in this life.
       f.    He/She offered medicines to the monks, novice and the poor and does it in this life.
 
2.    His/Her expectation of life was over, but he/she lived longer than that.
       a.    He/She has built the Buddha Image in this life.
       b.    He/She has meditated well enough to attain the inner Triple Gems in this life.
       c.    He/She saves the animals’ lives by releasing fish or other animals in this life.
       d.    He/She made merit in the rest of this lifetime.
 
3.    He/She is healthy.
       a.    He/She supported the relatives in the previous lifetimes and does it in this life.
       b.    He/She kept at least 5 precepts in the previous lifetimes and does it in this life.
       c.    He/She offered meals to the monks in the previous lifetimes.
       d.    He/She made merit according to his/her tradition in the previous lifetimes.
       e.    He/She looked after his/her parents in the previous lifetimes.
       f.    He/She made the medical merit and took care of the patients in the previous lifetimes.
       g.    He/She built the strong building in the previous lifetimes.
       h.    He/She had made merit and then made a wish to be healthy, not sick and have long life in the previous lifetimes.
 
4.    He/She was delivered easily.
       a.    He/She did not confine or imprison people or animals in the previous lifetimes and he/she listened to the Paritta Chanting from the pilgrim monk in this life.
       b.    He/She healed a lot of patients in the previous lifetimes.
       c.    He/She saved the animals’ lives by releasing fish or other animals in the previous lifetimes.
