Offering Alms to 30,000 Temples Is to Prolong Buddhism
Edited from the Inner Dreams Kindergarten broadcasted via DMC

I pay the highest respect to the Most Ven. Phrathepyanmahamuni (Luang Phaw Dhammajayo)

Today (April 20th, 2015) I as a good news reporter would like to inform about the overwhelming joy of Phrakhruwichiankittikhun (Luang Phaw Prasert Kittiyano), Ecclesiastical District Governor of Raman District and Abbot of Wat Wachiraprakarn in Yala.

Phrakhruwichiankittikhun (Luang Phaw Prasert Kittiyano),
Ecclesiastical District Governor of Raman District and Abbot of Wat Wachiraprakarn in Yala

Today Phrakhru gave an interview that he participates in this ceremony almost every year.  Whenever he saw lots of monks gathering together in this ceremony, he was overwhelming with joy because it showed the strength of Buddhism, so he would like to thank Luang Phaw Dhammajayo very much for this ceremony and this project.  You, Luang Phaw Dhammajayo, were patient to do it.  As a monk in the three unrest Southern provinces who are troubling, he would like to tell you that he appreciates in your kindness. You have never abandoned the monks in the South.

He insisted that the monks in the South are not alone because of you.  About him, he was affected by the unrest event on March 24th, 2005 so that he had admitted in the hospital for 6 years and is still not well.  He has upset stomach and stomachache so that he has to go to see the doctor intermittently, but he still lives there.  He sent this song to encourage you with love.  If you did not help and support them continuously for 11 years, they could not live there because no organization helped them seriously except Wat Phra Dhammakaya.  This is the land of Thailand so they will not escape or migrate.

He thought that the laypeople who offered alms to 30,000 temples are smart because they got a lot of merit.  Every Baht and Satang will prolong Buddhism, keep the monks to live and look after their temples especially in the three unrest Southern provinces.

Even though there is some bad news at this time, he would like to tell you that everybody who does a big project generally faces some obstacles.  They, all monks in three unrest Southern provinces, keep fingers crossed for you.  About the laity, please don’t be panic because of such news until giving up; it will lessen your merit.  If you don’t give, keep precepts or meditate, you will not get merit.  But you should think in the positive way that everything will be all right; there will be no problem.  We, as Buddhists, should help and support one another to restore Buddhism and prevent and protect ourselves from bad things.  A good way to restore Buddhism at this time is to offer alms to 30,000 temples.  It will make any temples in Thailand keep doing their Buddhist projects and preserve the Buddha’s teaching sustainably.
