Q1:  The blood donation is one way to make merit. Is it correct?

Question:  The blood donation is one way to make merit.  Is it correct?  If yes, what is the fruit of the blood donation?

Answers:  Absolutely! It is the way to make merit and is in the same level of the organ donation which will able to yield fruit in this lifetime and next lifetimes.
The fruit in this lifetime:  From the medical aspect, the donor’s body will build new blood cells, which are pure and better than the old ones, to compensate the donated blood.
The fruit in the next lifetimes:  The donor will be healthier and smarter than other people.

When you read the stories happening in the ancient time, you may find the stories of someone who was healthy and so strong that he/she could win an elephant or one hundred people in the tug of war game, or could break the tiger’s neck.  They were healthy like that because they had donated their blood in the previous lifetimes.
