Abortion

Questions from the audience:

I made abortion for 6-7 times and every time it was embryo.  I took the aborticide or drank alcohol a lot to abort it.  If it is an embryo not an infant, how much sin have I got from the abortion and how?

Answer:

Whenever the spirit has possessed an oosperm and the mother’s menses has stopped temporarily because of pregnancy, that oosperm has counted to be a living thing.  If the mother aborts this living thing or the older one, she gets sin from breaking the first precept.  The abortion of the younger embryo causes the mother to get less sin than the abortion of the older one because the younger embryo is smaller and easier to abort.  The bad retributions from the abortion are to cause the mother to go to the major hell no. 1, after that she will go to the minor hells. She will trouble in the hell until her sin is decreasing enough for her to be reborn as a human.  But when she is reborn as a human, she will be aborted and have a short life.
