The Rule of Grabbing

Questions from the audience:
I and my husband had worked for the foreign bank and got salary as much as about 100,000 Baht.  Later, we decided to resign to do our business because we expected to get more money to spend and make merit.  But the business is like the tree which the owner has to water and waits for its fruits.  So in the beginning, the income from our business was less than the previous work and we began to lose the balance.  Our budget for merit-making was less.  We did not regret our less income but felt a little regret that we could not make merit as much as we intended.

Later, there was someone persuading us to do other business.  We decided to bring some money to do this business instead of making the Kathina merit.  We thought that we would like to invest in this business and when we got the profit return, we will donate more for the Kathina merit.  Unfortunately, we did not get profit and fund.

Why did I lose a lot of money even though I never regretted my donation each time?  It was happened because I had changed my mind to do business instead of making merit, is it correct?

What is the right way to make merit?  Will I have a chance to get money back and make merit as I intended in this life?  How can I do to be successful in my work and become the good provider with limitless heart?

Answers:
You lost a lot of money even though you had not regretted your donation each time because in the previous lifetime you had lent some money and not paid back.  You had also got the buyers’ money but didn’t send the goods to them as well.  These bad retributions have caused you to be like this, not involve to your current intention.

It is hard to understand and you have to study about the Law of Kamma.  The merit and sin in your body are grabbing to yield fruits.  If the merit is able to yield fruits, you will be happy and successful in life.  If the sin does, the results are in contradiction.  You will face the difficulties in your life. It is the Rule of Grabbing.  The situations you met come from the causes from your previous lifetimes, not from this life.

If someone wants to make merit by investing before and then bring the profits he gets to make merit, there will be an indirect effect that he will open more chance for the bad retribution from the previous lifetimes to insert and yield fruits.  If you delay longer, the strength of your merit power will be less.  So if you intend to make merit, you should do it at once to prevent your bad retributions from the previous lifetimes to yield fruits.  This is because we were reborn for many times, so we did something good or bad.  Your merit and sin from your deeds are grabbing to yield fruits all the time.

You should remind of your merit you have done and make a wish to get the money return and be successful in your life and work.  Think of merit with clear and happy mind.  If your mind is clear, it will attract the good things including money to you.
