Meditation Experience: Peace Revolution for Youth

Interesting Meditation Experience:
Day 5: I was able to practice meditation very easily. I was able to still my mind for about 20 minutes. But it was still not that easy to put my mind inside my body.

Day 6: I tried to still my mind for about 20-25 minutes, before I lost my meditative state. Therefore, I tried to still my mind again and became successful because I was able to let go 100% of my thoughts, worries, fears and other feelings.

Day 12: My meditation experience was different than before. I could not explain it but I felt that my body was made of air and brightness.

Day 16: I began to pray, “Yes, I can” to myself. My mind was completely stilled. I tried to think of a crystal-ball image at the center of my body and continued to pray silently inside my mind. I felt relaxed, freed and emptied. Usually, I like to sit on a chair. However, I sat on the floor for today because I felt that it might be better for me.

Day 20: Ever since yesterday’s noon until the whole entire day today, I was able to place my mind at the center of my body for all the time. Everyone came to ask me, “What did you do? Why do you look so good?” Actually, it was not that easy for me at all to multi-tasking and going to different places at the same time while keeping my mind at the center of my body. But all of these things have effects on me when I’m meditating because my mind was a lot my lighter and softer. I also used the technique of saying the prayer and thinking about the center of my body. As a result, I felt even lighter as if my physical body has disappeared.

Day 25: Spreading gratitude from meditation made me felt extremely happy. My mind felt light and relaxed when I’m in the process of spreading gratitude. I felt as if I have been able to smile and greet everyone that I’ve met. At the same time, I was able to spread the center of my body to cover the town that I lived in. It seemed as if the more I spread love and gratitude, the more light-heartened I became.

Day 30: Today, my mediation experience was very good. My mind was stilled and relaxed. When my mind began to wander off, I was successful at trying to still my mind again. I was also able to see the details at the center of my body. When I’ve finished meditating, I felt light-weighted, relaxed and comfortable.

Benefits received from Peace Revolution Program:
After participating in the Peace Revolution Program for 3 weeks, I have been able to stop gossiping and spreading rumors about other people. I’m also able to completely stop drinking alcohol beverages. These changes cause my work and my personal relationships with others to improve. This program also helps make me discover my weakest points and how to improve them. From this program, I also learn how to let go of my negative feelings and all other experiences that used to be difficult to forget. Currently, I’m practicing meditation routinely in order to improve my full potential to be higher. Now, I know that, “In order to change the world, one must start with changing oneself first. Finally, the calmness inside my mind will gradually spread to the outside world.”

Interesting Meditation Experience:

Day 3: On the first 14 minutes of meditation, I felt deeply uncomfortable, because I have been unsuccessful at stilling my mind. Both of my shoulders were extremely tight and it hurt so much that that I almost quit meditating. However, I have continued to push myself so that stayed in my meditative state. Not long after my attempt at trying, I felt extremely happy. Time soon flew by. Thus, I was able to connect to the center of my body. I felt as if the power source was contained inside the center of my body and it was drawing me inwards.

Day 4: In the beginning of my meditation, I’ve placed my mind at the center of my body. I felt as if there is brightness inside my center. I felt very good and happy that I wasn’t able to resist smiling to myself.

Benefits received from Peace Revolution Program:
In the beginning, taking the 5 precepts was a difficulty for me. This was because drinking wine during dinner has been a long time tradition for my family. Moreover, I also used to drink to socialize. But after I’ve meditated, I’m also able to lower my alcohol consumption and completely stop this behavior. I find that my life is unbelievably more relax and comfortable. In addition, I’m able to remain peaceful and stay patience even in the face of undesirable events. Furthermore, meditation helps bring happiness into my life. I also like to multi-tasking by placing my mind at the center of my body while sipping coffee.
