Core Value # 4: That good & bad actions have karmic results

brings
Thus one,s qualitative judgement of an action depends on the end product of that action.

This fourth sort of core value implies that a person takes responsibility for the effects towards themselves and others of their own actions, It implies that a person assumes that the law of cause and effect is in force in their lives. It goes without saying that such a person will refrain from taking advantage of others in things which are good for themselves but not for those others. It means that in a social context one aims always to achieve a win-win situation in whatever one does.

suffering
Thus if one is on the receiving end of suffering in life, one should not blame God or destiny.

It implies that one is fair in whatever one does. In Buddhism, one defines bad as any action which will bring regret at a later time, and goodness is defined as any action that brings no regret at a later time. Thus one,s qualitative judgement of an action depends on the end product of that action. Thus if one is on the receiving end of suffering in life, one should not blame God or destiny, but instead blame oneself, because all one’ s actions should have been done with prior consideration of the likely karmic retributions.
