On behalf of all members and devotees of the Dhammakaya Foundation and Wat Phra Dhammakaya Temple worldwide, I express my deepest sincere condolences on the peaceful passing of Most Ven. Master Jing Yao, President of the Buddhist Association of the Republic of China (B.A.ROC). His passing was truly a disheartening loss for all Buddhist communities. There cannot be any amendment to the loss incurred, but my sympathy will always be with all Taiwanese Sangha and devotees.
Most Ven. Master Jing Yao was an extraordinary Buddhist master, teacher, and scholar. His wisdom and profound understanding of Dhamma were deeply enlightening, as demonstrated by the extraordinary accomplishments he achieved throughout his life. Through his insightful and visionary leadership, Buddhism has been solidly established and strengthened in numerous countries across the globe. His profound and immeasurable knowledge greatly enriched Buddhist education, playing a pivotal role in advancing the growth and evolution of Buddhism in the modern age. He has gracefully embodied the essence of a true monk through the extraordinary example of his life. Words cannot fully express the deep sorrow we all feel at the passing of such an esteemed and revered scholar.
I have had the privilege of knowing Most Ven. Master Jing Yao for many decades. Throughout this time, he has served as a radiant source of inspiration for Sangha members across all traditions, guiding and encouraging them in their dedication and efforts to spread the teachings of the Dhamma. He was instrumental in fostering stronger relationships and unity among Sangha communities across the globe.
Most Venerable Master Jing Yao, President of the Buddhist Association of the Republic of China (B.A.ROC), has peacefully passed away under the blessings of the Noble Triple Gem. He will remain in my thoughts and prayers.
