A Memorable Visit from Vietnam: Discovering Peace and Inspiration at Wat Phra Dhammakaya
The International Reception Team recently had the pleasure of welcoming a group of seven visitors from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Most of them work in shopping malls and were enjoying a 10-day holiday in Thailand. Although they had visited Thailand several times before, this was their very first time at Wat Phra Dhammakaya.
One member of the group, who has a passion for meditation, had heard about the temple’s meditation teachings and encouraged everyone to rent a car from their hotel to come and explore the temple together.
During the visit, they learned about the history of Wat Phra Dhammakaya and toured the temple grounds. Deeply moved by what they experienced, they were inspired to make a meaningful connection by becoming co-owners of a personal Buddha statue—one of the million Buddha images enshrined at the Great Dhammakaya Cetiya.
Each of them expressed heartfelt appreciation for everything they saw—from the temple’s cleanliness and orderliness to its peaceful and sacred atmosphere.
We’re so grateful to have shared this beautiful experience with our Vietnamese friends, and we hope to welcome them again in the future.
