พระจุลปทุมกุมารได้ทรงช่วยเหลือโจรที่โดนตัดแขนตัดขาที่ถูกปล่อยลงแพล่องตามแม่น้ำ พระองค์ทรงเยียวยาให้อาหารดูแล จนหายบาดเจ็บในเวลาต่อมา การสร้างบุญของเจ้าชายครั้งนั้นเหมือนการเก็บงูเห่ามาเลี้ยง เมื่อเจ้าชายออกไปหาผลไม้ในป่า พระชายาสาวก็กระทำอนาจารร่วมกับโจรนั้นทุกครั้ง ความชั่วมักหอมหวานจนกลายเป็นสิ่งถูกต้องเสมอในความคิดของคนชั่ว
การสร้างสรรค์ของมนุษย์นั้นทำให้เกิดสิ่งอำนวยความสะดวกขึ้นมากมาย แต่ก็เป็นการทำลายไปด้วย จนกระทั่งธรรมชาติทนไม่ไหวเกิดการลงโทษขึ้นมา
หากพวกพวกทาสทำงานไม่ถูกใจ พวกชนชั้นสูงจะสั่งให้พวกทหารทำการลงโทษพวกข้าทาส ด้วยการทุบตี เฆี่ยนตี ไล่เรื่อยไป จนบางครั้งก็ลงโทษกันอย่างรุนแรง จนถึงขั้นเสียชีวิตเลยก็มี
การที่เราจะเป็นผู้ปกครองที่ดี จะต้องรู้จักสอนคนในปกครองให้เป็นคนดี ให้เขาโตขึ้นเป็นผู้ใหญ่ ที่มีคุณภาพ คือให้มีความรู้คู่คุณธรรม ครูบาอาจารย์ที่ดีก็เช่นกัน ต้องหมั่นตักเตือนสั่งสอนให้ศิษย์เป็นคนดี คอยประคับประคองให้ลูกศิษย์ดำเนินไปในเส้นทางที่ถูกต้อง ถูกทำนองคลองธรรม โดยไม่กลัวภัยที่จะเกิดขึ้นกับตน
