Mechanism # 3 : Abstention from the Six Roads to Ruin

 

 In gambling, it is true that when somebody wins, the other must lose.

 

Those who have refined minds can foresee that resources in this world are limited. They try to share their incomes with other people in the society, nation, and the world for the benefit of each individual as just as possible. They perform their careers diligently and choose to work in wholesome careers because they are capable of distinguishing between right and wrong. They realize that unwholesome and illegal careers are not appropriate for their human dignity.

 

Regarding spending, they foresee the harmfulness of poverty and debt, and thus always remind themselves not to spend money extravagantly. They have good discipline concerning spending. They do not indulge in drink and drugs which may cause a burden to the economy.

 

After work, they spend time relaxing by way of entertainment-however, they avoid straying into places that are morally prohibited. They join entertaining activities but do not indulge themselves heavily due to their realization that wastomg time, money, and opportunity may interfere with their careers.

Moreover, they do not engage in gambling because they know that gambling causes a burden to the others’ finances. In gambling, it is true that when somebody wins, the other must lose. So, it is not ethical to cause the others’ a financial burdeb by our gambling.

 

In term of socialization, they do not associate with False Friends because they are afraid that the bad habits will became theirs. The mischievous ones’ habits will lead to destruction of moral and economic status. So, they carefully select their associates.

 

The ones with refined minds also understand that their consumption of foods is for the benefit of biological purposes which extend their lives. Nutrients from foods will nourish every single cell in their bodies. Foods are obtained from their income through wholesome careers. They are not lazy workers because they do not want to be a burdens on others. They also refrain from sinful actions as they believe that wholesome careers result in happiness within this world and the next.

 

So, it is not ethical to cause the others’ a financial burdeb by our gambling.

 

Those with crude minds selfishly make their income. They do it regardless of morality and state laws. They are satisfied with unwholesome careers such as drug selling, trade of men, and all other immoral and illegal stuffs. In terms of spending, they spend their money extravagantly. They have no discipline, and spend their time entertaining themselves in bars and nightclubs. They also indulge in gambling and drug abuse which bring destruction to themselves and society as a whole. They are irresponsible upon the economy both for themselves and others.

The above descriptions explain the difference in behaviours between those who have crude minds and those who have refined minds. We can see that the one with refined minds behave themselves carefully. They don’t get involve in the Six Roads to Ruins.

 

The Six Roads to Ruin comprose:

 

- Consumption of addictive intoxicants

 

- Roaming the streets at unseemly hours;

 

- Frequenting Shows

 

- Gambling

 

- Associating with bad company

 

- Laziness to work for a living
