เราคงปฏิเสธไม่ได้ว่าปัญหาเด็กและเยาวชนไทยในปัจจุบันมีสาเหตุสำคัญมาจากความอ่อนแอในเชิงวัฒนธรรมและวิถีชีวิตแบบไทย อันเนื่องมาจากสถาบันครอบครัวและลักษณะสังคมไทยเปลี่ยนไปมาก พ่อแม่ไม่มีเวลาสั่งสอนอบรมลูก มีเวลาอยู่กับลูกน้อยลง ทำให้จิตใจของเยาวชนจำนวนไม่น้อยเกิดความสับสนวุ่นวาย เหงา และว้าเหว่ จึงหันไปติดเพื่อน พลอยทำให้ตัดสินใจอะไรผิดพลาดได้ง่ายนั่นคือความสัมพันธ์ในแง่ของความเป็นบ้าน
