ความเคารพกับความอ่อนน้อมถ่อมตน มีความแตกต่างกัน ความเคารพเป็นการปรารภผู้อื่น ตระหนักในคุณงามความดีของผู้อื่น พบใครก็คอยมองหาข้อดีของเขา ไม่ไปจับผิด สามารถ ประเมินคุณค่าของผู้อื่นได้ตามความเป็นจริง และแสดงอาการเคารพนับถือด้วยกาย วาจา ใจ ทั้งต่อหน้า และลับหลัง ส่วนความอ่อนน้อมถ่อมตน
จากเรื่องนี้ จะเห็นได้ว่า ขนาด พระผู้มีพระภาคเจ้าผู้เป็นบรมศาสดาเอกของโลก ก็ยังทรงเคารพพระธรรมที่พระองค์ได้ตรัสรู้ เพราะความเคารพในธรรมเป็นทางมาแห่งความเจริญรุ่งเรือง ไม่เป็นไปเพื่อความเสื่อม ในพระไตรปิฎกมีหลายสูตรที่พระพุทธองค์ตรัสเรื่องความเคารพไว้ ทรงสั่งสอนทั้งแก่ภิกษุภิกษุณี อุบาสกอุบาสิกา และเหล่าเทวดา ไม่ว่าจะเป็นการเคารพในพระศาสดา เคารพในพระธรรม เคารพในพระสงฆ์ เคารพในการศึกษา เคารพในสมาธิ เคารพในความไม่ประมาท และเคารพในการปฏิสันถาร
What demerit caused her mother to be paralyzed, have diabetes, and have both her legs amputated? Did letting her hair grow long and requesting to have a longer life at the Phra Gan Shrine enable her to live for another 10 years? What demerit caused her father to have bleeding in his digestive system and die?
You once taught us that having gratitude generates wisdom. I would like to ask how wisdom occurs.
