When children become addicted to computer games

Questions from the audience:

My 2nd oldest daughter used to be addicted to computer games and the internet. Everything she did always involved games. She is not addicted anymore, but would like to know whether those who are addicted to computer games will have any sin.  And what retribution will they have?

Answer:

An addiction to computer games is a waste of time that could be spent doing good deeds or focusing on one’s studies. The worst case scenario is the gamer’s life will become tough.  If the game involves killing, it will cloud the gamer’s mind.  The more often the gamer’s play, the more sadness they will accumulate.  If these images appear in the mind before passing away, they may go to one of the unfortunate realms.  This is important.
Humans have eyes and body parts for the purpose of pursuing perfections.  Whatever body part you have used, you should also use it to make merit or good deeds to enhance your life. This is the correct principle.  If you use a body part and it causes problems in your life, don’t do it.
