The everlasting kindness from the Buddhist Ecclesiastical Provincial Governor of Saraburi
Edited from the Inners Kindergarten Program broadcasted on DMC

The Most Ven. Phradhampidok, the Buddhist Ecclesiastical Provincial Governor of Saraburi

While Dhammakaya Temple’s people were blocking the mass water happily 24 hours a day, the Most Ven. Phradhampidok, the Buddhist Ecclesiastical Provincial Governor of Saraburi, kept watching this situation because of his kindness and care.  He had sent his monks and novices from Saraburi province and Phrabuddhabat Temple to take turns making the sandbags and building the dyke. When the Most Ven. Phrarajbhavanavisudh (Luang Phaw Dhammajayo) had announced and persuaded his disciples to offer food and needed things everyday, he became concerned very much and told the disciples in Saraburi province that the food stock in this time was very important.  He hinted that they could help him by buying a truck of papayas and send them to Dhammakaya Temple.  He also gave more reasons that papaya was very good. It was an ingredient of Kaeng Som, a kind of Thai soup, or fried with eggs and able to keep for a long time.  He asked the disciples to buy the cucumbers for Dhammakaya people to eat with chili sauce and helped him determine what Dhammakaya Temple wanted more and whether Dhammakaya Temple had stocked pickled fish, pickled shrimp or not.

"We are ready to go now...From Saraburi to Khlong Luang!!"

When Luang Phaw’s disciples in Saraburi had heard the Most Ven. Phradhampidok’s hints, they called directly to the staffs of the Master Nun Chand Khonnokyoong Refectory.  After they had got data, they reported to the Most Ven. Phradhampidok at once. The Most Ven. Phradhampidok ordered his team acting as his representatives to select and buy fresh vegetables as the refectory staffs’ request.  The representative team bought the following vegetables.

1.       1,000 kilograms of cabbage
2.       500 kilograms of Chinese cabbage
3.       500 kilograms of long eggplant
4.       500 kilograms of radish

The cabbages, Chinese cabbages, long eggplants and radishes were picked recently from the gardens in Phutubberg, Petchaboon province and sent directly to the refectory in the morning of October 29th, 2011.

5.       55,000 limes - The lime seller was very excited about the order amount and when she knew that these limes would be sent to offer the temple, she participated to make merit by giving the discount.  She charged only 5,000 Baht instead of 5,500 Baht.
6.       10 kilograms of sweet basil - The sweet basil was in short supply, so they could buy only 10 kilograms.
7.       300 kilograms of cucumber
8.       100 kilograms of spring onion
9.       50 kilograms of Chinese kale

The total cost of vegetables was 61,400 Baht.

After going through water and traffic jam, the truck arrived Dhammakaya Temple

These fresh vegetables were sent to Dhammakaya Temple by the six-wheeled truck and left Saraburi in the late morning.  They went through water and reached the Master Nun Chand Khonnokyoong Refectory in the afternoon of October 29th, 2011.  The staffs were waiting to cook them for everybody who carried sandbags to be healthy to do it again.

The vegetables with the everlasting kindness, love and care

The Most Ven. Phradhampidok also gave a message that he hoped that when the monks, novices and disciple ate Dhammakaya Temple’s food, they became healthy, both body and mind, to keep doing good deeds and making merit for public, Buddhism, and the country.
