31 พฤษภาคมของทุกปี เป็นวันงดสูบบุหรี่โลก หลวงพ่อธัมมชโย ได้ดำเนินการจัดกิจกรรมและรณรงค์เพื่อการไม่สูบบุหรี่ มาอย่างต่อเนื่องนับตั้งแต่เริ่มสร้างวัดพระธรรมกาย โดยแทรกสาระเกี่ยวกับโทษของบุหรี่ และจัดกิจกรรม ตลอดจนการสร้างเครือข่าย เผยแพร่อย่างกว้างขวาง
