The Easiest Path to Happiness If you look at your house you will see that it comprises of a roof, pillars and walls. If you look at the pillars and walls, you may think that they are just staying still and not doing anything. In fact, they have a very important function, that is, to support the pressure of the roof. If the pillars and the walls are moving instead of staying still, then the roof will fall down due to its own weight and pressure. Therefore, when the pillars and walls are still, they will have the strength to support the weight of the roof, and bring stability to the house. Our minds are no different; if they are not still, but are constantly worrying and thinking, we would not be able to hold ourselves up against all the pressures of life. We would feel overwhelmed by our problems, and cannot resolve them without creating further problems.
