Activities at Dhammakaya Brisbane Temple

On Sunday September 5th, 2010, Dhammakaya Brisbane Temple arranged the First Sunday Ceremony of Offering alms to the Lord Buddha and the Pick–up Robes Ceremony.  Phrakrusamuh Pipatporn  Kittisubho was the monastic leader in these ceremonies.

In the morning, the congregations did the morning chanting and meditated to purify their minds clear enough to be the merit containers.  After that they requested to keep the 5 precepts and said the alms–offering speech.

All congregations offered their alms in the monks’ bowls and offered the meals to the monks.  Then, they enjoyed eating together.  After that, they lined up to perform the Pick–up Robes Ceremony to build Dhammakaya Brisbane Temple. Then, they meditated together during Dhammakaya Time and they offered the First Sunday Ceremony of Offering alms to the Lord Buddha as well as Dhammakaya Temple in Thailand.

The alms in the First Sunday Ceremony of Offering alms to the Lord Buddha in Dhammakaya Brisbane Temple were prepared, carved and decorated beautifully.  They made the alms from the fresh fruits and flowers and the alms impressed the participants very much.  The Dhammajayo Bhikku’s children at Dhammakaya Brisbane Temple share you these merits.
