Upasakaratanam (Male Lay-Follower) Ordination Programme
The programme is organized to commemorate the Thai National Father's Day and to dedicate merit to His Majesty the King on the auspicious occasion of His Majesty's birthday on 5 December 1998. In 1999, 100,000 male lay-follow ers joined the programme from 29-31 January 1999. Another 100,000 female lay-followers who were inspired by the programme also joined the event.
