The Dhamamkaya Foundation, with the International Buddhist Club, organizes a yearly peace and ethics education curriculum that features a quiz contest for schoolchildren, university students, and military/police cadets. This initiative, based on the Buddhist Mangala Sutta, marks its eighteenth year in 1999. The program has been widely embraced as an extra-curricular activity across Thailand, contributing to moral knowledge through examinations. In 1998, over 1.65 million participants from over 5,000 academic institutions engaged in the contest, with significant recognition including over 600,000 certificates and more than 3,500 scholarships awarded. Royal patronage from the Thai Royal Family honors first-prize winners, fostering unity among children of diverse religious backgrounds. Research shows that participants develop superior moral and ethical character compared to non-participants, illustrating the program's positive impact on youth behavior and promoting the ideals of world peace and intercultural harmony.
