สรุปเนื้อหา

In this content, Suzanne Jeffery discusses the existence of Mara, describing it as an entity that interferes with our ability to perform good deeds. Although Mara cannot prevent goodness, it can present obstacles, such as noisy distractions during meditation. Jeffery emphasizes the importance of training the mind through meditation for spiritual growth and wisdom. Wearing white, lighting incense, or offering flowers is not mandatory for meditation; however, such practices can enhance the meditative atmosphere. Luang Por's blessings remind us of universal human experiences like birth, aging, sickness, and death and encourage meditation in pursuit of true happiness and enlightenment, ultimately leading to the end of the re-birth cycle. ข้อความต้นฉบับในหน้า

Suzanne Jeffery Q: Does Mara exist? What does Mara look like? A: Yes. Mara exists. Khun Yai used to say that Mara is Mara. Mara does not like good deeds and Mara always interferes. Mara cannot stop goodness being done, but it can put things in our way to interfere with us doing good deeds. For example, if we want to meditate, and our spouse starts to snore: This is just an interference to stop us from our meditation. Q: Is the mind spirit? A: You have to train yourself and see this for yourself. If you practice meditation, then you will be able to gain wisdom and answer these questions yourself. Q: Do I have to wear white, or light incense, or give flowers in order to attain good results in meditation? A: No. But these things only help you create an atmosphere that is pleasant for meditation. You can use any or all of them if it helps you meditate more frequently. Luang Por gave us a blessing and said: “All people desire happiness. But here is what we all have in common: Birth, Old Age, Sickness and Death. Meditate and follow the Eightfold Noble Path, and you will find true happiness because you will end the cycle of re-birth: You will attain enlightenment.”
