หน้าที่ 12 / 73

สรุปเนื้อหา

In this discourse, the Buddha conveys the essence of true happiness through two contrasting verses. The first verse teaches that seeking happiness at the expense of others leads to suffering in future existences, while the second verse emphasizes that genuine happiness arises from non-violence and compassion. All the youths in attendance realized this truth, achieving Sotapatti Fruition. The message emphasizes that fulfilling one’s happiness should not involve harming others, as everyone desires joy and fulfillment in life. For a deeper understanding, refer to 'Kumar Sutta'.

Verse 2: He who seeks his own happiness by not oppressing others, who also desire to have happiness, will find happiness in his next existence. At the end of the discourse all the youths attained Sotapatti Fruition. Explanation: People who like to be happy and are in search of pleasure hurt others through various acts of violence for their own happiness. These victims too want to be happy as much as those who inflict pain on them. Those who inflict pain do not achieve happiness even in their next birth. (see more in "Kumar Sutta" p.62)
