At YUWA CAMP, children engage in activities that encourage socialization, teamwork, and personal growth. They learn to cope with different personalities while practicing Buddhist principles like perseverance. Mentors provide special attention to lonely kids, helping them make friends and learn self-care. The camp experience includes fun tent living, delicious meals, storytelling of Buddha's past lives, and meditation, fostering intelligence and reflection. Doing activities together, each child’s character will be observed. A child may like to work on his or her own while another enjoys team work. Therefore, the children will learn how to cope with people and the self-centered ones can apply the Buddhist principle of perseverance. Lonely boys and girls will get special attention from their mentors. Being in the group, they will start conversing with their new friends until they know all the members in YUWA CAMP. The children will make a lot of nice new friends, with self-help programs, they can look after themselves, make their trunks tidy, manage to do household works and things they never do at home such as cleaning bathroom. At night, it is fun to live and sleep in tents. Lovely songs awaken the campers with happy moods early in the morning. Three meals are served each day with delicious desserts. Storytelling of jataka or past lives of the Lord Buddha are rehearsed with supporting moral ideas. The most enjoyable activities are in the afternoon when campers learn how to meditate. Play are nightly performed and the children will be closer to their mentors. Excitedly they talk about having fun during their game in the forest and lost their way. Certain tricks like painting the bodies with mud or playfully pushing others gently down and a moral test by stabbing a balloon with a wood and applying something red on their friend’s skin. Having enough great time they will meditate and play. YUWA CAMP is a camp of playing and meditating. They will learn everything. Looking back they will know how they should behave.
