We hope you will draw on your personal odyssey as well as your close relationship to those seek- ing a spiritual path generally, and the marginalized and the poor specifically, to infuse our deliberations with the overarching values which must be basic to our search for social justice. We would be interested in your interpreta- tion of how society can best cope with the challenges presented for social integration in today's landscape which seems at times to be fracturing and globalizing at the same time. We expect a large audience with a good inter- national mix of delegates and representative of civil soci- ety, as well as the media. We are aiming for a free ranging discussion, with emphasis on a lively interaction during the question and answer period A publication of the proceedings will get wide dissemination after the event.
