สรุปเนื้อหา

Dao An (314-385 AD) highlighted the works of An Shigao, particularly those focused on meditation, including texts like the Anban shouyi jing and Chanxing faxiang jing. Many of these translations have been lost, but a few, such as Da anban jing and Da daodi jing, remain in the Taisho Tripiṭaka. The works of An Shigao cover both Hinayāna and Mahāyāna, with a notable focus on the former, specifically containing seven significant meditation-related texts. Further analysis reveals the impact and survival of these texts in the context of Buddhist scholarship.

ข้อความต้นฉบับในหน้า

Dao An 道安 (314-385 AD) states An Shigao's translation works which are concerned with meditation include Anban shouyi jing 安般守意經, Da Daodi jing 大道地經 "Yogācārabhumi Sūtra", Da shi er men jing 大十二門經, Xiao shi er men jing 小十二門經, Da Anban jing 大安般經, Siwei jing 思維經 and Chanxing faxiang jing 彳行法想經.12 Unfortunately most of these translations have been lost except for the Da anban jing 大安般經 T602, Da daodi jing 大道地經 T607 and Chanxing faxiang jing 彳行法想經 T605 which have survived in the Taisho Tripiṭaka.13 According to the Taisho Tripiṭaka, the Yin chi ru jing 陰持入經 and the Chanxing sanshqi pin jing 彳行三十七品經 can also be classified as meditation texts.14 It can be seen in the following chart (adapted from Nattier15 and based on Sengyu's lists of An Shigao's translation work) that while An Shigao translated both Hinayāna and Mahāyāna texts16, the majority are associated with the Hinayāna school. In addition, there are only seven texts related to meditation: Renben yusheng jing 人本欲生經 (T14), Qi chu san guan jing 七處三觀經 (T150a), Da Anban shouyi jing 大安般守意經 (T602), Yin chi ru jing 陰持入經 (T603), Chanxing faxiang jing 彳行法想經 (T605), Daodi jing 道地經 (T607) and Wu yin piyu jing 五陰毘楞經 (T105).
