ข้อความต้นฉบับในหน้า

Preface The original favorite Jatakas have gone through quite a number of editions before coming up with this final version. Though the four Jatakas in this book may belong to different categories; the Lord Buddha’s reasons for teaching may vary; and though the consequences from listening to the Dhamma may not be the same. This is a learning method via analysis and linking: one of the effective ways for readers to understand and memorize the essence of those stories. In the first Jatakas, the Bodhisatta was once reborn as The Yakka’s Son (Padakusalamavana Jataka) and as The Flying Horse (Valahassa-Jataka) respectively. As there appears to have Yakka in both these two stories, There also appears a certain degree of miracles in the other two Jatakas i.e. The Great Talking Bird (Ghatasana-Jataka) and The Clever Flying Elephant (Dummedha-Jataka). I sincerely believe the readers will have a good time reading this book as well as gaining some useful moral values while also enjoying its literary style. May you be enlightened with the Lord Buddha’s Dhamma. Siripunno ([email protected]) December, 2558 B.E The Favorite Jatakas
