"I can see the Lord Buddha inside my stomach," reported Bang.
"That's it," exclaimed Luang Phaw. "You've attained the Dhammakāya."
It had taken Bang from 1.00 p.m. until 4.00 p.m. to attain Dhammakāya. He bowed down before Luang Phaw with the utmost reverence. Luang Phaw asked what time his flight left — because Luang Phaw said he wanted to see him off himself. The others who were sitting with Luang Phaw wondered what Luang Phaw was planning, since he had never seen anyone off at the airport before.
Three to four months later, Bang came back to visit Luang Phaw again and came bearing a neatly wrapped gift for Luang Phaw. He paid obeisance to Luang Phaw in the usual way and announced, "I've been to India and brought a present for you — why not guess what it is?"
Luang Phaw laughed and said, "An apple — just what I wanted." A wave of excitement passed through the onlookers.
Bang asked, "How come the day I left Don Muang airport, you were standing at the foot of the stairs at the aeroplane, but when I raised my hands in respect you disappeared from sight?"
