Eightfold Supranormal Knowledge — the mental powers of one pure of defilements, comprising: 1. insight knowledge; 2. mind-made magical power; 3. supernormal power; 4. divine ear; 5. reading the minds of others; 6. recollection of past lives; 7. divine eye, and; 8. the knowledge of an end of defilements. Kammavāċāçāriya — the senior examining monk of the two monastic examiners at the ordination whose duty it is to report before the monastic assembly the presence or absence of circumstances obstructing the candidate's ordination. Karma — the Buddhist law of retribution that one who does good deeds will receive good rewards, one who does evil deeds will receive evil retribution. Sometimes used to refer to the retributive effects of past deeds. Kaṭhina — the major Buddhist ceremony of robes-offering held to mark the end of the Rains Retreat Kuti — hut or simple cottage used by a monk as accommodation Mahanikāya — the orthodox remainder of the Thai community left unreformed after the formation of the Dhammayuttikā Sect.
