He accepted the tray and put it down next to him. He picked up one of the glasses saying that it should be offered to Phra Kru Vichien and it was passed down the row of monks right in front of their noses — while exclaiming: "Vichien, only the two of us put in any effort today — let us drink together!" On another occasion when Acharn Treeta Niemkham had just retired from being a nun, she had a strong desire to perm her hair. She went to ask Luang Phaw's permission first. She didn't think that Luang Phaw would show much interest, but when she returned from the hairdresser, Luang Phaw summoned her.
