one case related by H.H. the Supreme Patriarch of the time Somdej (Pa) Bun Punnasiri, someone came to Luang Phaw asking, "How many *kuts* will be sponsored by the temple patrons today?"
At that time, the Supreme Patriarch was just an ordinary monk in the rank and file, listening as Luang Phaw received guests. Luang Phaw sat quietly for a moment. He didn't so much as close his eyes, but answered, "They'll sponsor four or five *kuts*."
The future Supreme Patriarch felt very anxious for Luang Phaw. If supporters came and sponsored the exact number of *kuts* Luang Phaw had predicted, there would be no harm done — but what if no one came to sponsor *kuts* today, or the number of sponsors turned out to be more or less than Luang Phaw had predicted? — that would be very damaging indeed to Luang Phaw's reputation. However, moments later a lady and her friends came and sponsored the building of five *kuts* — inspiring the faith of the Supreme Patriarch in the precision of *Vijja Dhammakāya* from that day to this.
Luang Phaw Wat Paknam not only knew what was going on in the minds of others, he also knew how mature or seasoned his disciples were in the perfection of good deeds — whether they had been pursuing the perfection of good deeds continuously over the course of many lifetimes or whether they their interest in virtue was simply a passing whim. He knew when others were due to attain *Dhammakāya* — as the culmination of perfections pursued over the course of many lifetimes. Luang Phaw had a method of testing the potential of others to attain *Dhammakāya*.
