Mr. Alfredo 1. So far you have learned about the activities of Wat Phra Dhammakaya and Dhammakaya Foundation, how do you feel? What are your comments and suggestions? THE INAUC RAL OPE INC OF THE DHA MMAKAYA TIVA For the first time that I was invited on my personal capacity here was early this year. And I've just a very hard time to think of people telling me about how many people will attend these functions. So I was told that basically that would be hundred thousand people attending this celebration. I've just been thinking if it was true. But it was absolutely true. I mean it was the amazing experience from that per- spective. But most fundamentally I have accepted the first time the second invitation to come here to really share the non-material part of the movement, to share the part that has to do with the meditation, the part that has to do with sharing, the part that has to do with reflection over, you know, what exactly we should in the world do together. And I'll say we, I mean not only Buddhists but Christians and Muslims and Jews and Lamakumaris and Catholics and Protestants and everyone would exist what we want to do. And there is no other way to understand what the group does except by coming and being available to interact in your own way. I am extremely impressed about the number of the young people who are involved in the activities, who are involved in the organizing and put- ting into practice a number of functions. Why am I impressed? Because the future of the world raise on the young people and doesn't raise any more on us. Our generation did what we have to do. What do you think about the Maha Dhammakaya Cetiya? This is really the result of very hard work which had been done for more than thirty years. So, it's really incredible just to see its result. So, we all would like to form a pilgrimage into a sacred place. All of religions, Buddhists, Christians, Muslims and so on, they all go for pilgrimage in each one of their sacred places. But these days here is for Buddhists. There are many places for pilgrimage but the Pyramid that is not a place with all the conditions, materially condition which we need for preparation so long for pilgrimage.
