She is the owner of a yoga centre in Singapore, who came to practise Dhamma at Wat Phra Dhammakaya in February. Kalyānamitta Magazine has already
published the story of Ms. Quinine Tao
in the April and May issues. She is the
owner of a yoga centre in Singapore, who
came to practise Dhamma at Wat Phra
Dhammakaya in February.
Even before coming to Wat Phra
Dhammakaya, Ms. Tao always let her
yoga students sit quietly for five minutes
as part of the yoga routine. Each student
used the quite five minutes to meditate
using a technique according to there own
preference. However, as soon as she
returned to Singapore from Wat Phra
Dhammakaya, she started to teach her
students Dhammakaya meditation as a
part of yoga. It became apparent that
most of her students are able to make
much progress in meditation, bringing
them much happiness. Thus her centre
has become one of the most popular in
Singapore.
This year Ms. Tao came to take
part in the anual festival of 'Kathin'
bringing with her one of her students,
Ms. Madeline Wai Wau Leng. As a
result of this visit Ms. Leng was to become
greatly realised in Dhammakaya meditation
Consequently, Ms. Tao confirmed that
she will lead a big group of her students
to join Dhutanga (austere practices) at
Wat Phra Dhammakāya during New Year.
Ms. Leng, a lovely executive secretary
of 36 years old, said that her life, four
months ago, back in Singapore, had been
in such a bad shape that no amount of
praying was going to help her. A few friends
of hers recommended that she should
try meditation to relax. She, then, with
