งเล็ก น้องเ จ ด ห ม า ย ถึ ง น้ อ ง เ ล็ ก ด้วยกันคือ อามิสทาน ธรรมทาน และอภัยทาน....) ...If one is not ready to give material gifts, there are the other two to do... (ผู้ที่ไม่พร้อมที่จะทำทานข้อหนึ่งก็ยังมีทานอีกสองประเภทให้ทำ....) ...However, the gift of the Dhamma is contemplated to be the most important as the Buddhist proverb: The gift of the Dhamma excels all other gifts. (...อย่างไรก็ตาม ธรรมทานนั้นถือว่าสำคัญที่สุด ดังพุทธภาษิตที่ว่า "สัพพะทานัง ธัมมะทานัง ชินาติ การให้ธรรมเป็น ทานย่อมชนะการให้ทั้งปวง...) ...This is because it brings human beings wisdom which will stay with them in future lives. ( ทั้งนี้ก็เพราะธรรมจะก่อให้เกิดปัญญาแก่มนุษยชาติ และจะติดตัวตลอดไป...) ...Wise men are sorely needed by our society and the world. (ผู้มีปัญญาย่อมยัง ประโยชน์ให้แก่สังคมและโลกอย่างมหาศาล) ...It is the wise men that bring peace for the world... (...ผู้มีปัญญานี้เองที่นำสันติ สุขมาให้โลกเรา...) ไหมคะ?) Forgiveness is also important, don't you think? (...อภัยทานก็สำคัญ คุณเห็นด้วย “That depends..." (คงแล้วแต่...) 'Generally speaking, if we do not forgive each other, if no-one forgives anyone else who upsets them undoubtedly, there will be warfare worldwide... (กล่าวโดยทั่วไปแล้ว ถ้าเราไม่ให้อภัยซึ่งกันและกัน ถ้าทุกคนไม่เคยอภัยคนที่ทำให้เราอารมณ์เสีย ก็ไม่ต้องสงสัยเลยว่า โลกนี้ จะมีแต่การทะเลาะวิวาทโกลาหลกันไปหมด) ...If you can't forgive, you can't keep calm, then, how can you concentrate your mind?... (...ถ้าคุณอโหสิไม่เป็น ก็ทำใจให้สงบไม่ได้ แล้วคุณจะทำใจให้เป็นสมาธิได้อย่างไร?... ...Now you can see that Dana does not only refer to material gifts... (คุณคงเห็น แล้วว่า “ทาน” มิได้หมายเฉพาะอามิสทานเท่านั้น) ...However, our material gifts in this life will become our provision for the hereafter......อย่างไรก็ตามอามิสทานของเราในชาตินี้จะไปเป็นเสบียงของเราในชาติหน้า....) ...That is to say we would be bom to inherit riches in the hereafter... ...นั่นก็คือ เราคงจะมีโอกาสเกิดมาเป็นคนมั่งมีในชาติหน้า....) ...The Abbot always says that it might be impossible for the poor to make merit. So Dana must be the first priority to be done if possible. And it will help support the doer to achieve morality sila and meditation. (...หลวงพ่อกล่าวเสมอว่า คนจนนั้นยากที่จะได้ โอกาสทำทาน ดังนั้นการทำทานจึงมีความสำคัญเป็นอันดับแรก ถ้าเราทำได้ และทานนี้จะช่วยให้บรรลุ ผลในการรักษาศีลและเจริญภาวนา) Thanks a lot for your valuable advice.
