Khaengkhae leave to go home first, taking with her all the female students. Only, ten to twenty minutes later, once the ladies were all safely on the bus home, would she allow the gentlemen to take their leave. Only if the gentlemen had urgent business were their group allowed to return first, and the ladies would be kept back for ten to twenty minutes until the *gentlemen* were safely on the bus home. These are the strict precautions Khun Yay took so that her young students would have the full opportunity to benefit from her Dhamma teachings. No scandals or superstitions were ever to undermine the unity of the pioneer working group of Dhammaprasit House. She would always say to her students: "Don't keep secrets from me. If you have problems then tell me about them – so that I can help. Regard me as you would a parent. Your parents can however only understand things that will benefit you in present lifetime. I look at things that will benefit you in future lifetimes too. I feel responsible for you even in lifetimes to come. I'm afraid that if you do some things, you'll end up in hell after your death. We'll have no chance to meet up any more. You'll miss your chance to meet up with the Great Abbot of Wat Paknam. You'll not have access to the knowledge of *Dhammakāya* any more.
