"Listen carefully to my words. To have been born human is the greatest of good fortune. No other form of birth excels human birth. Life passes us by so fast — days and nights soon become years. Life doesn’t wait for us. Having achieved human birth, we have to cultivate wholesome-ness, practice generosity and do good deeds. We cannot take anything away with us from this life except the wholeness and unwholeness we have accrued during our life. We should make sure we accrue nothing but wholeness so that this is all we take with us. In this way we will have the wealth to pursue perfection in every lifetime. Doing only wholesome deeds and shunning all un- wholeness, nothing will accrue to us but the meritorious fruits of the good deeds we have done by our volition. We can suffer no retribution from evil we have never done. When we pass away, we leave behind the evils we’ve never done, but take the wholesome things we have done with us. Pursuing perfection is no easy thing. You need to be patient and you need to overcome obstacles. I have struggled to the best of my ability throughout my life. Now I thank all of you and bid you farewell. May great merits accrue to all of you who have accompanied me on the spiritual path. We will 1.
