as the key. In regard to young people's usual attitude to their own conduct, the Dhammadāyāda course has been the turning-point in the thinking and point-of-view of Thailand's Youth. It has lead more than ten-thousand young people, over nearly twenty years to leave the bright and coloured lights of modern youth for self-training in the Buddha's Teaching. It has lead many wayward students to get down to their studies and to become the admiration of their parents. Khun Yay explained that in forging virtue in peoples' hearts it is necessary to instil them with the qualities of a Wise One [pandita] - those who are wise both in worldly and spiritual ways. All those who wish true happiness in life must be educated in virtue hand in hand with their worldly knowledge. Khun Yay had also expressed the wish that trainees would become an important force in helping to spread the Dhamma as a result of their training. By 1975 most of the important amenities in the temple were almost complete – whether it be the pavilion for meditation practice, kutis for monastic accommodation. In about April, Khun Yay and Luang Phaw Dhammajayo moved permanently to the temple from Wat Paknam. Khun Yay was the one to lay down many of the ground rules for the temple. She kept a watchful eye over all her students and gave them encouragement. They needed encouragement because building the temple was a challenge – it was only those with a clear vocation in mind who would be able to cope.
