Some people were cheated by their close friends or
relatives. They came to ask Khun Yay for help and
guidance. Khun Yay listened to their accounts and
replied:
"You can believe them, but don’t trust them."
Some of the visitors came with ailments. There was
a middle aged lady who told Khun Yay “I have been
suffering from back pain. I have been searching for
a cure from various famous doctors for such a long
time, but it has not helped. I finally came to see you
and you stroked my back with your hands. When I
got home, there was no more pain. Now I am here
to ask you to help again by massaging my arms.”
Khun Yay laughed a little bit and told her that she
did not know how to do massage. In front of many
other visitors, she simply moved close to Khun Yay
and turned her back while begging “Can’t you just
touch?” Khun Yay chuckled and squeezed the lady’s
shoulder softly while saying “Please get well!” The
lady was so happy, she bowed to Khun Yay and left
the room joyously.
Khun Yay had to meet with various types of visitors
and talked to all of them with sincerity and kindness.
Everyone left the room with hope and their morale
boosted. Khun Yay taught them to think of only meri-
torious deeds and good things because they would
bring about success to one’s life. She usually blessed
them “May you be fulfilled in your good wishes
through the power of merit.”
Khun Yay’s eyes showed compassion and thankfu-
ness even for tiny offerings made to her. Sometimes
when people greeted her with their hands in a gesture
of prayer, she just held their hands in hers, transferring
