On 22 April 2000 which was the first grand inauguration day of the Cetiya, Khun Yay witnessed the congregation of monks, novices and laypeople from every part of Thailand and abroad. The Dhamma field was full of the saffron colour of monks' robes and white colour of lay people's dress — although she no longer had the strength to walk anymore. Sometimes it seems that her concern about the completion of the structure was the thing that kept her going in her final years.
Generally speaking, Khun Yay was healthy for her age. She was energetic even when she was eighty-three years old. Her back was straight, her eyes and ears were alert. Her skin was also fresh. Khun Yay had virtually no signs of senile forgetfulness. Behind her healthy appearance, Khun Yay had minor illnesses, however, which were due to aging such as dizziness and frequent visits to the bathroom. Khun Yay also had muscular aches and stiffness.
