จ ด ห ม า ย ถึ ง น้ อ งเล็ก พี่บอกกับผู้ฟังว่า Most Buddhists misunderstand that the Five precepts are the rules of conduct or orders given with authority forbiding them not to do five things. (ชาวพุทธส่วนมากเข้าใจผิดว่าศีล 5 คือกฎเกณฑ์หรือข้อห้ามปฏิบัติ 5 ประการ) Actually,the Lord Buddha did not make the Five precepts. He accepted them in his teachings as they are normal conducts of human beings. A man who connot follow just one of them will lack some of the human qualities. That is to say, he gets influenced by wickedness. (อันที่จริงแล้ว พระสัมมาสัมพุทธเจ้ามิได้เป็นผู้ทรงบัญญัติศีล 5 แต่ได้ทรงรับไว้ในพระพุทธศาสนา เนื่องจากศีล 5 เป็นความประพฤติตามปกติของมนุษย์เรา คนที่ไม่ประพฤติตามแม้เพียงข้อเดียว ความ เป็นมนุษย์ก็จะลดลง นั่นคือ ความชั่วร้ายได้เข้ามาครอบงำเขาแล้ว) So the Five precepts are the standard of human behaviours. (ดังนั้น ศีล 5 จึงเป็นมาตรฐานแห่งพฤติกรรมของมนุษย์เรา) Excuse me, would you mind takling about the details of the Five precepts? (ขอโทษค่ะ คุณช่วยกล่าวถึงรายละเอียดของ ศีล 5 หน่อยได้ไหมคะ) Yes, of course. The first precept is to abstain from taking the life of any creature. (ได้ค่ะ ศีลข้อหนึ่ง คือ เว้นจากการฆ่าสัตว์) The second one is to abstain from taking anything which has not been given to us. (ศีลข้อสอง คือ เว้นจากการถือเอาสิ่งของของผู้อื่นมาเป็นของตน) The third one is to abstain from comitting adultery. (ศีลข้อสาม คือ เว้นจากการประพฤติผิดในกาม) The fourth one is to abstain from telling lies, unpleasant speech, and gossip as well. (ศีลข้อสี่ คือ เว้นจากการพูดปด พูดหยาบคาย รวมทั้งพูดจาส่อเสียด) The fifth one is to abstain from drinking or taking any kind of substance leading to heedlessness. (ศีลข้อห้า คือ เว้นจากการดื่มหรือเสพสิ่งที่จะนำไปสู่ความประมาท) เห็นที่จะต้องพักไว้เพียงแค่นี้กระมัง วันหลังจะเล่าต่อดีไหมจ๊ะ แล้วน้องเล็กล่ะ รักษาศีล 5 ได้ เป็นปกติหรือเปล่า รักและคิดถึงเสมอ พี่ใหญ่ กั ล ย า ณ ม ต ร ≈3
