The narrative recounts the life of Koṇḍañña, a notable figure among brahmin soothsayers who predicted Prince Siddhattha's future enlightenment. As the only soothsayer to accurately foretell Siddhattha's renunciation, Koṇḍañña later joined him in meditation, attaining significant spiritual insights. After the Buddha's enlightenment, Koṇḍañña became the first to achieve 'stream-entry', validating the Buddha's status as the Fully Self-Enlightened One. This momentous event also led many Brahmās, considered high attainments in other traditions, to realize 'stream-entry' upon the Buddha's teaching of the Dhammacakkapavattana Sutta. This establishes the supremacy of the Buddha's teachings over contemporary spiritual practices, highlighting that even Brahmās, who appear enlightened, remain trapped in samsāra without the knowledge of the true path to Sainthood. Therefore, the teachings of the Buddha offer a unique route to liberation, surpassing the limitations faced by beings in the Brahmā world.
