brahmunā vā kenaci vā lokasminṭi”. Itīha tena khaṇena tena muhuṭṭena yava brahmalokā saddo abbhuaggacchi. Ayāṅca dasasahassi lokadhātu saṅkampi sampăampi sampa’vedhi. Appamaṇo ca olāro obhāso loke pāturahosi: atikkammeva devānaṁ devānubhāvanti. So that moment, that instant, the cry shot right up to the Brahma-world. And the whole ten-thousand-fold cosmos shook and a limitless radiance extended throughout the cosmos surpassing even the radiance of the deities. Atha kho Bhagavā uṭaṇam uḍaneti: “Kondañña now you have known and seen everything.” Itihidam āyasamto Kondaññassa. Accordingly, from that time on “Kondañña” became better known by the title of “Aṅña-Kondañña”. 216
