Many people, conditioned and driven by modern materialistic values, seek instant results, instant gratification, instant peace. What I discovered as I practiced the Dhammakaya method of meditation, day by day, was a palpable yet subtle change in my mind and heart, barely noticeable at first. Peace Meditation slowly transforms sorrow into happiness and peace! And even as I write this, I have come to understand and experience a real peace of mind and a sustained happiness. That sense of guilt is gone and in its place is peace, a very real peace, a peace "that surpasses conventional wisdom and understanding". I am free from the shackles of the past and now live in the moment. 259
